The liver suffers silently – for a long time it does not hurt and does not give clear symptoms. Many people only become aware of problems with this organ at an advanced stage of the disease. Meanwhile, conditions such as steatosis, fibrosis or cirrhosis can be detected early and treated effectively - provided the appropriate tests are carried out.
In our facility, we offer a modern elastographic liver examination performed using the Hepatus 6 device – fast, safe and non-invasive. It allows a precise assessment of the state of the liver parenchyma and the detection of changes before the first symptoms appear.
Today, elastographic examination is the standard in monitoring liver health – not only in the diagnosis of diseases, but also in their prevention. This method makes it possible to precisely track the progress of any changes and assess the effectiveness of any treatment or lifestyle modifications. It is a quick and non-invasive way to check what condition your liver is in before serious problems arise.
Regular monitoring, including not only laboratory tests but also imaging methods, is particularly important in people at risk of developing liver disease.
When should you perform a liver elastography test? Include them in your preventive health care if:
The liver has the ability to regenerate - give it a chance to do so with early diagnosis!
Elastography is a non-invasive imaging method that evaluates the elasticity of liver tissues. It resembles a classic ultrasound examination (USG), but unlike this examination, it allows the elasticity of the tissues to be measured directly, making it possible to detect early structural changes even before the first symptoms of the disease appear.
What does the Hepatus 6 device do? The camera head emits short mechanical waves that propagate through the liver parenchyma. The speed of their propagation depends on the stiffness of the tissue – the more fibrous it was, the faster the waves spread. On this basis, the device calculates the degree of fibrosis and steatosis.
The Hepatus 6 uses state-of-the-art Transient Elastography (FibroScan) technology and enables:
The examination with the Hepatus 6 only takes a few minutes and resembles a standard abdominal ultrasound. The patient lies on a bed and gel is applied to the abdominal skin. The operator then moves a special transducer over the skin, which performs two examinations simultaneously: elastography and classic 2D real-time ultrasound. The combination of both tests allows the selection of the appropriate test area, which increases the reliability of the results and eliminates the risk of misinterpretation of the measurements.
We offer three variants of the examination:
elastography with the result and consultation of a hepatologist.
Elastography + ultrasound with radiological and hepatological consultation and description.
elastography + ultrasound examination with radiological and hepatological consultation and description + Doppler examination (colour Doppler).
